Team Suits

Kim has contacted AgonSwim to see if they have improved the men’s drag suit and also to see if we can get the same pricing. Depending on how many suits are ordered will determine the price. 2006 Westport Kiwanis Triathlon

Well the weather cleared up after all for another successful year of the Westport Kiwanis Triathlon. Thank you to our Grand Sponsor Fairfield County Bank for it’s third consecutive year of sponsorship. Other sponsors included Sachs/Walsh Insurance, Coffee News and Westport/Greenwich Bikes. Results are now available at Platt Systems. In addition to our sponsors we would like to thank our volunteers who play a crucial part in organizing and hosting such an event.

Westport Swim Club is proud to announce Laura Burke as the Women’s Second Place Overall Winner as well as first place for her age group. Way to go Laura! Other great participants from Westport Swim Club were Jake Gulick who took first place for his age group, Amy Gladwell with an impressive second place for her age group, and Kim Russo who was part of a winning relay.

Swim Clinic

The Meriden Masters is pleased to announce a swimming clinic featuring 3-time U.S. Olympic Trials Qualifier and Master’s World and National Record holder, Mike Ross. The clinic is Sunday September 24th from 12:30 - 3 pm at the Meriden YMCA. A post clinic meal is provided as well as free give-aways. 2006 Swim Across the Sound

Update 8.13

Westport Swim Clubs two relays, and 4 solo swimmers fundraised over $30,000 for the St. Vincent’s Swim Across the Sound. Also check out the News12 clip that aired last weekend.

Congratulations to all WSC members who competed in the 19th annual St. Vincent’s Swim Across the Sound this past Saturday. Westport Swim Club Lane 3 took first place in the relay competition, and our sibling relay Westport Swim Club Lane 4 finished in 14th place. Jeremy Virgil set a new amateur record; Andy Davis completed his second solo crossing of the sound. Both Tobey-Anne Saracino and Sarah Humphreys also successfully completed their solo crossings.

Greenwich One Mile

Congratulations to WSC members Tobey, Josh, and Andy who all competed in the Greenwich Mile this past weekend. Tobey and Josh won their respective age groups, and Andy finished a close 2nd in his age group. Complete results are now available.

2006 Madison Mile Results
