On Saturday July 10^th Art, Andy, Bruce, Chet, Susan, Mike, and Kim all competed in the Greenwich Point One Mile Swim. Results from the swim haven’t been posted yet but the word is they all placed well, and Kim was the lucky one who got stung by a jellyfish.

Very early in the morning on Sunday July 11^th Josh Usdavin, Kim Russo, Andy Davis, Jim Conboy, and John Schwarten all competed in the Mossman Triathlon. Kim’s relay placed 4^th overall, and Andy’s/John’s relay team placed 2^nd overall. Jim finished 67^th overall and 11^th in his age group, and Josh finished 74^th overall and 8^th in his age group.

Later in the day the Westport Swim Club members (Susan, John, Jeff, JoAnne, Julie, Jake, Josh, Kim, and our helpers Matt, Will, and Lauren) participating in the Swim Across the Sound gathered at the corner of Myrtle Ave. and the Post Rd. to wash cars to benefit St. Vincent’s Cancer center. Thanks to all who came by and supported us by getting their car washed. Also we’d like to apologize to all those driving by that afternoon that were traumatized by John Schwarten jumping around in the middle of the Post Rd.
